I have discussed this topic in a short blog post here before, but I’d like to discuss this again in a bit more detailed. This time, I’m going to share with you how we can help you choose a niche for your blog.
If you want to succeed online through blogging, you need to choose a niche. This is crucial especially if you’re starting from scratch with no credibility. Unless you are already famous and you just decided to create a blog to update your existing audience, everyone starts from scratch. So, read on and I’m going to lead you to learn more about “niche”.
Introducing: Our Online Entrepreneur Certification
This free course has taught me what is niche and why it is important for a blogger or a website owner to decide what niche to pursue.
Wealthy Affiliate’s Online Entrepreneur Certification Course was created with beginners in mind. Anyone who wants to learn how to make money online, how to build an online business, can go through this course and emerge an online entrepreneur at the end of the course.
Honestly, I have prior training in blogging before I join Wealthy Affiliate. But it is only through WA’s Online Entrepreneur Certification that I fully understood how things work in the online business world particularly in affiliate marketing.
I learned that the easiest way to monetize a blog is through affiliate marketing. And, the best way to get customers in affiliate marketing is through blogging, and vice versa.
As I have discussed in another blog post that there are two levels of membership if you wanna join Wealthy Affiliate, you can join for free with our free starter membership, and you can join as a premium member.
Whatever level of membership you join, you will receive the training that you need, and start making money online.
Why You Should Choose A Niche
You may be asking, “Why should I join Wealthy Affiliate and bother to learn about NICHE?”
Well, like I have said earlier, that unless you are already famous and having a huge following, you are to start from scratch. Like me, I started with zero followers.
The already famous and the celebrities can blog about anything and people would care. But for us, internet marketers, we need to pick our niche and become more specific with what we write.
In our Online Entrepreneur Certification Course, you will learn that a niche is actually a group of people looking for stuff. A specific group of people aggregated together on the Internet.
To reach these people, you will need the help of Google. You need to have your site or your blog posts included in the search engine results pages (SERPs) when people who need your business search on Google.
People search for products and/or services on Google using phrases called keywords.
The truth is, if you are not clear what niche you’re targeting with your site, you won’t get a good search engine ranking. Your posts will never be included in the SERPs.
You need to have a niche, choose your niche, and focus on helping that niche.
A Tool To Help You Research Your Niche
There are many places online where you can learn about “niche”.
Learn about how to choose your niche. What I like with Wealthy Affiliate is, the subject of niche and how to choose your niche are explained in an easy-to-understand way PLUS the tool you will need in making research with your niche is already provided.
In most sites out there, you will be taught about niche and keyword, and then have you clicking away or searching for their recommended keyword tool.
In Wealthy Affiliate, we have our own keyword tool that can be accessed right there in our dashboard!
This is an easy-to-use tool for estimating how much search volume a keyword has in the search engine on a given month, how many visitors (traffic) to your site you will get if you reach the first page of Google, and how tough the competition is for that keyword.
It is free for free starter members and premium members as well. But for free starter members, it works like a free trial in which you will be given a specified number of free searches.
For premium members, Jaaxy Keyword Tool is provided free with its Jaaxy Lite.
